General freight

One board, one record, no double entry

FTL, LTL and everything mixed in between. The problem in general freight is rarely a missing feature — it's the same load being typed into four places and disagreeing with itself by Friday.

01 · The daily reality

Where the hours actually go

The re-power

A truck goes down mid-lane and the load has to move to another unit. In most systems that's a new record, a fresh set of paperwork, and a settlement nobody can reconcile. In Vektra the load keeps its identity and the assignment changes underneath it.

The check call

Three customers, four calls each, all asking the same question. Send them a live tracking link once and the calls stop — the customer portal answers it without anyone picking up.

The Friday reconcile

Invoicing says one rate, the driver settlement says another, and someone spends the afternoon finding out which is right. When both read from the same load record, they can't disagree.

02 · What you get

Built for the operation, not the demo

  • Load board by day, by truck, by driver — live, not a snapshot
  • Accessorials on the load record where billing can actually see them
  • Rate confirmations, BOLs and PODs attached to the load they belong to
  • Invoice the day it delivers, with the paperwork already on it
  • Settlement by percentage, mileage or flat, on the same numbers you billed
  • Revenue per mile, per truck, per customer and per lane, without an export

03 · Mixed operations

Most carriers aren't only one thing

Plenty of general freight carriers also run a couple of USPS contracts, or pull a reefer through the summer, or take the occasional oversize job because the customer asked. Software that forces you to pick a category makes the rest of your business someone's manual process.

Vektra's core handles general freight and the add-on modules cover the rest, on the same records and the same board. You don't run two systems because you run two kinds of freight.
